Wellness Testing for Better Mental Health

These panels support clients seeking clarity around physical, emotional, or mental wellness—especially those dealing with chronic stress, fatigue, mood changes, hormonal imbalances, or digestive concerns.

Why Use Wellness Testing

Wellness testing provides deeper insight into the root causes of emotional and physical symptoms that traditional approaches may overlook. By identifying imbalances in areas such as nutrition, gut health, hormones and inflammation, we can personalize your care and create more effective treatments strategies.

At Rooted Dove, we use advanced wellness testing to bridge the gap between mind and body—helping you move beyond symptom management toward true healing and balance.

  • Nutrigenomics Testing

This test can be a powerful tool because it looks at how your unique genetic makeup interacts with nutrients and lifestyle factors. While it is not a diagnostic tool, it can provide insight that may help guide prevention and treatment strategies.

It may be particularly helpful for people struggling with:

Mood Disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc.)

ADHD and related executive functioning issues

    Chronic Stress & Burnout

Sleep Disorders (insomnia, circadian rhythm challenges, etc)

Neuro developmental concerns (autism spectrum disorder, learning difference where nutrient pathways may play a role)

    Chronic Fatigue & Low Energy

    Metabolic & Weight Related Issues

  • Food Sensitivity Testing

Food sensitivities can quietly contribute to issues like brain fog, mood changes, digestive problems, skin flare ups, and low energy. This test identifies which foods may be stressing your body and triggering inflammation.

This testing may be especially beneficial for individuals who experience:

Chronic Digestive Issues (bloating, discomfort, irregularity)

    Ongoing fatigue and brain fog

    Headaches or Migraines

Skin Concerns (i.e. rashes, acne, etc.)

    Mood Fluctuations or Irritability

    Difficulty Identifying Food Triggers

By uncovering these hidden connections, we can develop a personalized plan to reduce inflammation, support gut health, and promote emotional physical balance.

  • Micronutrient and Nutritional Deficiency Testing

This test will offer a simple, non-invasive way to measure nutrient levels and detect exposure to heavy metals that may impact focus, mood, energy and overall health.

This testing can be beneficial for individuals who experience:

    Low Energy or Chronic Fatigue

    Mood Disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.)

    Brain Fog or Memory Challenges

    Frequent Illness or Weakened Immunity

Slow Recovery from Stress or Exercise

Unexplained Physical Symptoms Despite Healthy Eating

    ADHD

With these insights, we can create a more personalized plan to restore balance and support long term vitality.

  • Gut Microbiome Testing

Your gut health plays a powerful role in both physical and mental wellbeing. An imbalance in the gut microbiome can contribute to digestive issues, inflammation, immune challenges, and even mood and cognitive changes—often referred to as the gut-brain connection. Our gut microbiome testing provides a detailed look at the bacteria, yeast, and other microorganisms in your digestive system, along with markers of inflammation, digestion, and overall gut function.

This testing may be helpful for individuals who experience:

Chronic Digestive Discomfort (bloating, constipation, diarrhea)

    Food Sensitivities or Imbalance

    Mood Disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.)

    Brain Fog

    Skin Concerns (eczema or acne)

    Autoimmune or Inflammatory Concerns

    Unexplained Fatigue or Low Energy

By understanding your unique gut profile, we can tailor recommendations to restore balance and support both mind and body.

  • Organic Acid Test (OAT)

This test provides a detailed look at how the body is functioning on a cellular level. It measures markers related to energy production, nutrient use, neurotransmitter balance and gut health.

The OAT can be especially helpful for individuals who experience:

    Chronic Fatigue or Low Energy

    Mood Disorders (anxiety, depression, etc)

ADHD or difficulty with focus & attention

    Sleep Disturbances

Digestive Issues or Suspected Yeast/Bacterial Overgrowth

    Unexplained Physical or Cognitive Symptoms

By identifying these underlying biochemical patterns, we can create a more targeted and personalized plan to support both mental clarity and overall well-being.

How Testing Works

We have designed our testing process to be simple, accessible and completely virtual.

Here is what you can expect:

Consultation—We will talk through your health history, concerns, and goals to decide which panel(s) may be most supportive for YOU.

At-Home Kit—Your testing kit is shipped directly to your home. Most samples are collected through urine, saliva, stool, blood draw at a lab or a small finger prick blood spot at your home.

Send To Lab—Once your sample is ready, you will mail it directly to the lab in the prepaid packaging provided.

Personalized Care Plan—Using your results, we will create a tailored plan that may include nutrition guidance, lifestyle adjustments, supplements, and integrative therapy strategies.

Results Review—When results come back, we will meet virtually to review your report together. We will discuss what the findings mean and how they connect to your mental and physical wellbeing.

Who Can Test?

Wellness Tests are available for both children & adults (ages 5+). Some tests may be more appropriate for older teens & adults—we will guide you to the best option for you or your child(rens) needs.

Flexibility & Collaboration

Testing can be completed with or without ongoing counseling. If you are already working with a licensed professional, I am happy to collaborate with them—such as counselors, psychologists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, dietitians, or specialists—to ensure your care is coordinated and fully supported.
